Week 12, while the year 6s are away...

Wow we have had a busy week.  Team Kereru and the Team Kahu Year 5's have been working together.  We have been learning about ANZAC day and about World War 1 and 2.   We learnt about the years the wars were held, about trenches, about Gallipoli, about service men and what jobs they did and about the causalities of young soilders from all over the world.   Today the children got to choose a topic that they wanted to share.  Some of the topics included tanks, guns, weapons and animals used in the War.  Did you know they 32 carrier pigeons recieved medals?  I didn't.

Check out our photo links for the swimming and ANZAC learning.

I hope you all have a great Holiday Break and come back RESTED, RELAXED and ready to LEARN in term 2.
